We all want the same thing - to provide excellent service that benefits the public and adds social value. To deliver this, organisations need to be financially sustainable, and we want to support you on that journey.
My Story
After 20 years working in retail operations, financial services supporting the public sector, in a Train Operating Company as part of a FTSE 100 and in Higher Education, the same thing kept bothering me.

Everyone knows they need to provide excellent service to survive and thrive, but the finance strategy supporting this is consistently inconsistent. Where the requirement to drive shareholder value exists, this often clashes with the service objective - reactively reducing the volume and quality of services to increase margin is short-term thinking. On the flipside, where there is a charitable objective or social purpose, the strategic agenda is led by these, is often overly influenced by beneficiary 'wants' rather than 'needs' and rarely includes cohesive consideration of finances - this is an equally short-term approach.
